Our Client is leaders in completions technology, they have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Skilled CNC Machinist starting ASAP.

General QHSE duties:
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment, report any accidents, near misses or safety concerns to their department manager or HSE committee member
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and relevant work instructions/risk assessments
• Promote and maintain good housekeeping standards in all areas.
• Use and maintain appropriately all personal protective equipment supplied to employees.
• Use all machinery and equipment safely and respectfully, reporting any defects or safety concerns to their department manager or HSE committee member
• Undertake any internal or external training necessary as per their job function and responsibilities, detailed on the companies Training Record Summary
• All staff have a responsibility to manage risk within their sphere of responsibility. It is a statutory duty to take reasonable care of their own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by acts or omissions

Specific HSE Responsibilities
• Assistance in Risk Assessment generation, review and revision
• Assist with Internal Audits of QHSE procedures / processes
• Assistance in investigation / close out of quality / H & S or Environmental events
• Involvement in QHSE related meetings, as required
• Involvement in or chairing of Toolbox Talks
• Correct disposal of waste
• Improvement in recycling
• Provide assistance to Line Manager with identification of training needs within the department

• Program, set and operate various CNC Machines to produce equipment in accordance with the required quality standards and inspection demands.
• Ensure that all Production Orders are completed in accordance with requirements as defined in local work instructions.
• Assist where required other members of machine shop staff or departments as reasonably required.

Qualifications & Experience:
• A Secondary School education with GCSE, Standard Grade or other national qualifications.
• A formal qualification in an Engineering discipline, such as turning, milling or tool making at GCSE/Level 3 NVQ or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years’ practical work experience in a similar environment.
• Proven history of programming, setting and operation of various CNC Lathes, Mills and Machining Cen-tres to a high-quality standard and demanding deadlines.
