Our client is an Aberdeen based Operator who are currently looking for a Subsea Project Engineer, reporting to Senior Subsea Operations Engineer, on a contract basis for 9 months (starting early January 2019, with a possibility to extend) to help support a decommissioning project.

To provide planning and operational support to the client's Infrastructure Decommissioning team during delivery of an ongoing EPRD (Engineering, Preparation, Removal and Disposal) subsea decommissioning project

Requirements: Strong subsea operations experience ideally with an Operator/Duty Holder;
* Experience working with subsea contractors and saturation diving systems
* Knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
* To be fully familiar with all relevant subsea regulations, codes and guidance notes.
* To be familiar with decommissioning regulations, codes and guidance notes.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work using own initiative
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Company and to confidently represent the Company externally.
* Ability to work as part of a team and to build effective working relationships.
* Ability to effectively manage own workload and work within given time scales (both internal and external), ensuring project requirements are met.
* Adaptability and problem solving capability.
* Integrity and a high commitment to the performance of the role and business
* Ability to motivate others to ensure that Company objectives are delivered – with the interpersonal skills to listen to the views of others, capture good ideas and carry a team ethic
* Ability and competency to work offshore if required.

Qualifications & Experience:
The Subsea Project Engineer will have as a minimum the following qualifications and experience:

* Proven Subsea Project Engineering experience for a minimum of 3 years
* Previous experience of effective management of subsea contractors
* Previous experience of saturation diving operations and procedures
* Experience, knowledge and awareness of UK Subsea HSE Legislation, ISO standards, DAWR 1997, Safety Case Regulations, Industry Guidance (IMCA, AODC, DMAC, IOGP etc.) and their application to offshore subsea operations.
* Detailed knowledge of subsea architecture and subsea production systems and safe diving and ROV interaction with same.
* Previous experience of subsea decommissioning projects and Engineering, Preparation, Removal and Disposal (EPRD) contracts considered advantageous but not essential.

Scope of Services Dimensions:

* Working within the Subsea Infrastructure Decommissioning (SID) project delivery team, the Subsea Project Engineer shall be responsible for assisting with execution of safe, efficient and compliant decommissioning of the Dunlin Area subsea infrastructure.
* Assist with assurance of consistent, safe and legally compliant practices across all SID Operations in accordance with relevant regulations, industry guidelines, manuals and procedures to achieve safe and efficient delivery of Company subsea operations
* Review and comment on the SID EPRD Contractor campaign documentation.
* Monitoring of the auditing, assurance, competency and vetting process applied / managed by the EPRD contractor and relevant third party supporting contractors where required.
* To review and update Company documentation applicable to the management and support of Subsea Decommissioning Operations on a regular and timely basis.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

* Assist with the overall project execution of the Subsea Infrastructure Decommissioning workscope.
* Assist with the day to day management of the nominated subsea EPRD contractor.
* Attendance at internal and external meetings, recording and tracking of actions or minutes as may be required.
* Perform other associated duties as reasonably requested.

Operations Data Collection and Reporting:

* Assist Company as directed in maintaining established performance monitoring methods and reports on Decommissioning Contractor Operations(collecting and interpreting decommissioning contractor operational performance measurement; i.e. accident / incident rates, action tracking, performance against plan, schedule monitoring etc.)
* Effective management and tracking of progress with respect to outstanding Company actions with Industry Regulators, Marine Warranty and Diving Technical Authority service providers.
* Participation in and review of Company / EPRD Contractor Underwater Operations Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) as required.
* Recording, collate and disseminating lessons learned and best practices.
