Description:

Our client is looking for a temporary QHSE Co-ordinator on a three month contract.

Successful candidates should have experience of doing COSSH and Risk assessments

Key Accountabilities
• Facilitate the creation and review of Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments.
• Proactively support in the maintenance and development of the client's Business Management System.
• Support the QHSE Manager / Advisor as and when required with tasks including but not limited to:
o Supporting operations pro-actively through the provision of advice, collation and sharing of relevant information, accurate preparation / processing of documentation, reports and maintenance of relevant databases associated with the client's Business Management System.
o Raising and receiving Corrective and Preventative Action Requests and ensure that they are accurately logged within specified time frames, maintained within the database, proactively monitored and progressed until close out.
o Conducting tours of the worksite and office taking appropriate action to control any hazardous / unsafe conditions.
o Supporting the New Employee and Visitor Induction Programme.
o Monitoring emergency response equipment to ensure compliance, check alarms and assist with emergency response procedures and drills.
o Supporting in the implementation and monitoring of Proserv’s Occupational Health Surveillance Programme.
o Promoting understanding of client's HSE standards and QHSE policies.
o Promoting Operational Excellence throughout all aspects of the business.
o Undertaking additional tasks, as reasonably requested by QHSE Manager / QHSE Advisor.

The incumbent must read, understand and comply with, at all times, the policy along with all other corresponding policies, procedures and directives.

• Apply client's, and where appropriate our client's Client Company’s, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Safety Management Systems
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded

Qualifications

Education

Essential
• NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or other equivalent HSE discipline
• COSHH Assessor

Preferred
• Internal Auditor Training in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and / or OHSAS 18001
• Incident Investigation Training

Experience

Essential

• Experience in an QHSE role
• Experience in completing risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
• Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
• Self-motivated, self-starter capable of remaining flexible to changing work priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team
• Good communication skills and being able to present material confidently
Preferred
• Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and / or ISO 14001:2015
• Operational or technical background related to Subsea / Oil and Gas Equipment
