Technical Sales Manager

A Global oil services company with a heritage that stretches back over 40 years. With a strong focus on safety and delivering the highest quality products and services, Operating in 40 locations over 19 countries providing drilling services, Engineering, Project Management, Construction & Inspection to its upstream oil and gas clients have an exciting role as a Technical Sales Manager for their Aberdeen office.

Key Responsibilities will include:
•Own your sales territory, identify key targets, prioritise prospects and engage at a senior level using a range of business development skills.
•Work closely with the key technical team to identify prospective clients and follow up with leads obtained by them
•Develop trusting relationship with existing clients ad increase network through their organisation.
•Implement a consistent methodology for winning new business and particular key target clients and markets
•Utilising the Product Consultants and Professional Services team during the sales cycle to ensure deep knowledge and expertise is delivered at all times
•Consistently achieve a monthly, quarterly and yearly quota
•Manage the sales cycle and present the full product portfolio at a consistently high level and standard both face to face and via the web at all times
•Monitor post-sale and on boarding stages, provide an effective handover of the client to Client Services and Professional Services teams as well as all necessary internal stakeholders

Ideal experience for this role:
•Experience working in a Technical/Engineering Business Sales role focused roles within the Brownfield Project space, and experience in Drilling equipment and operations would be an advantage.
•Proven outstanding track record in meeting and exceeding goals and sales targets
•Experience of managing complex sales cycles that could go on for long periods
Proven Network within Aberdeen and London markets, international would be an advantage
•Experience in technical operational discussion with clients direct of a senior level
•Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across all areas of the business
•Technically minded, with a consultative approach to sales, strong relationship building skills, highly target driven, and able to work in a flexible environment
•Exceptional communication skills and presenting skills
•Naturally hard working and inquisitive, with a passion and drive to over achieve
