Description:

Our client a leading Oil and Gas Operator currently have a requirement for a Materials Manager to join their existing team. Responsibilities will include:-
Assist in developing and rolling out the Inventory Management Strategy and ensuring guidance is provided to the Divisions as to proper inventory Management techniques and practices.
Analyse historical inventory data related to stocking levels, min/max, consumption, inventory turns, breakdown of committed and uncommitted inventory as well provide guidance across the Divisions for improved transparency of inventory data to assist the Asset Management and Supply Chain organization to manage our inventory.
Provide the field with guidance & reports to redistribute, transfer, sell to vendors and write off obsolete and slow moving inventory using the analysis tool and queries that will provide the biggest financial impact to the organization.
Make recommendations to enhance the systems for better management of inventory as well as provide recommendations to process improvements that can be accommodated via functionality enhancements or training and awareness provided to the field.
Assist to setup yearly targets for Inventory for fleet rigs by class, benchmarks using historical records and performance by individual rigs and have the targets reviewed and vetted through the Asset Management organization.
Assist in Develop KPI’s and metrics that provide greater visibility of key inventory statistics so that more precise information is available to be able to take informed decisions on the distribution and disposition of inventory within and out with the Company.
Ensure that quarterly reviews are conducted with the Divisions and New Build groups on progress with Inventory Management and recommend actions to achieve inventory targets and ensure that best practices are laterally shared within the organization.
Ensure that all yards have been setup with their safety policies and procedures and are recording their safety statistics.
Ensure that the standards pertaining to equipment maintenances and storage standards are being followed by all onshore facilities.
Assist in ensuring that there is global visibility for all equipment, components and inventory stored at offshore locations within the company’s ERP systems.
Assist in developing recommendations to improve the visibility of equipment and components within ERP systems and ensuring that the processes for managing the physical movement as well as the financial transactions are efficient and any non value added processes are eliminated.
Assist in developing robust training programs for our Supply Chain personnel in line with the Training matrix being developed for Global Supply Chain. Ensure that training programs are standardized across the company.
Assist in Roll out training programs (web based, class rooms and Fast Track programs) across the company in line with Global Supply Chain requirements and divisional needs.
